Title: Funny title, but serious book

Review: I'm doing research on breeding, and will keep my first intact female dog - I initially spotted this book and thought it would be a funny joke for the eye-rolling I've gotten from the men in the household, but it's actually a very good, informative book with lots of good insight and information about your female dog.

Title: Conventional" Thinking - but fairly good

Review: IMO, too much "conventional" thinking, as in regards to proper nutrition, but interesting read otherwise. People need to read and educate themselves about RAW diets and how SUPERIOR they are too the Krapple in a sack. I have been RAW feeding for OVER 15 YEARS, and would never go back to the overcooked junk food in a sack. There are alternatives for the health of our cats and dogs...

Review: This is an excellent book for anyone who owns or is contemplating owning a female dog. It's packed with information covering every aspect of the female dog including purchasing, prenatal care, whelping, care for the pups until they are eight weeks old, female dog anatomy, etc. in simple, easy to understand language. This is one of the best books out there on female dogs.

Review: I was pleasantly surprised by the colloquial English used in the book. Some areas of whelping appeared more difficult, but were made understandable to the layman. I especially enjoyed the English colloqialisms in the book. The authors definitely give enough information so that the first time breeder knows what to look for in the puppies, the delivery, as well as the selection of the bitch, the stud, and what can happen in each phase from pre-breeding to the sale of the puppies.
